Kim, who is now a young mother, still lives on Kelowna's Westside, which in this painting, is across the lake behind her.  It was my second oil painting of her and is meant to represent her journey through life as a First Nations woman.  At that time she was involved in modeling and art, and the buffalo robe she is wearing is featured in most of the series of paintings and drawings I did of her.
