This is the fifth painting in my "Old Masters Colours" series which combines a high-realism main subject, abstract background and a limited palette of "old masters" colours. I've used this little boy in my "Indian Boy" series and found I couldn't resist trying him out again in this series. I photographed him in 1996 in the Indian Village at the Calgary Stampede.
